The Cottage has reopened!

We are very excited to announce that we have now reopened and welcomed our first guests back to the Cottage. We would love for you to come and see us for yourselves. Book on our website to avoid disappointment. We are open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 12pm to 4pm, last entry is at 3.30pm.

Craft Pack for June

June craft pack is a butterfly mobile, celebrating the hard working butterflies who pollinate the cottage garden. The packs are free to pick up, donations are always welcomed, from the cottage shop, or you can complete you craft while you visit us!

Upcoming events at Mrs Smith’s Cottage

Thanks to you event! On the 5th and 6th June we are holding a thanks to you event, showing our gratitude to National Lottery players who have helped fund the restoration of Mrs Smith’s Cottage. Come with a lottery ticket for free entry into the cottage!

Cupcake Day for The Alzheimer’s Society on the 13th June at the cottage, free to attend. Please bring cash to donate to this very worthy cause and enjoy a cupcake and refreshments.

On 3rd July we are having a volunteer event at the cottage from 12pm to 3.30pm. Join us and find out about what you can get involved with at the cottage, meet our current volunteers and ask them about what they do!

Take a nice stroll out into the countryside on our Wild flower walk on the 10th July. To confirm your space on the walk, sign up on the events page of the website.

Butterfly Trail

There will be a Butterfly Trail at the cottage throughout June in the Cottage garden. The whole family can join in as we look for these beautiful insects. Just get booked at the Cottage online to come along and join the fun!

Navenby Memories

Over on our social media (twitter, facebook, instagram) we will be sharing short animations created using the oral history collection at the cottage. Building up to the start of a new memory sharing project at the cottage. We are holding a memory sharing day on the 17th of July, where we will be asking visitors to bring in their old photographs of Navenby and we will share our work on the Navenby archive!
