May Craft Packs

Available from Paws for Thought in Navenby

One of our volunteers has been putting their creative talents into practice and has created for us a card cottage for you to put together at home.

These will be available from Paws for Thought from May 1st, and then available from our shop once we reopen.

Butterfly Trail

Throughout June we will have a Butterfly Trail in the cottage gardens. With fun activities, blending in person exploration with digital resources to support learning for all.

Cupcake Day Bake Sale

13th of June 2021 - 12noon to 3:30pm

The Mrs Smith's Cottage team will be running a Cupcake Day bake sale to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. With the hope of good weather we will have cake stands in the garden, and you can simply pop in and pick up a cake.

Entry to our gardens will be free of charge. Regular admission applies for entry to the cottage.

Volunteer Recruitment Day

3rd of July - 12noon to 3:30pm

Come along to Mrs Smith's Cottage to meet the team and learn more about the exciting volunteer roles available at the cottage and other Heart of Lincs venues.

Entry to the cottage garden is free and refreshments will be available.

Navenby and the Cliffe Edge Villages

A Talk by Tom Lane

Friday 9th of July, 7pm Start, at Mrs Smith's Cottage.

£5 per ticket, includes refreshments.

From its western lowlands to the high Heath and Ermine Street human communities have impacted on the natural environment and used the landscape of the Cliffe Edge in different ways through time.  We will look at the traces of their endeavours, from the Neolithic pits of Leadenham through Roman Navenby to medieval Churches, Castles and Templars.  It is the story of the Cliffe Edge, its people, its settlements, its landscape and the development of this distinctive region.

Wild Flower Walk

Saturday 10th of July, 11:30am, at Mrs Smith's Cottage


Join Mark Schofield for a guided walk exploring the wild flower habitats of Navenby village. Finding out more about an important habitat and the wildlife which calls it home.

During the walk you will discover the work which goes into maintaining vital habitats, learning how you can get involved in the Friends of Navenby Open Spaces project.
